Bus Trip 2008 CANCELED DUE TO NO SIGN UPS! |

On Monday, March 24th, 2008 at approx. 1350 hours, members of IAFF Local 1579 - MANCHESTER FIRE-RESCUE-EMS along with members of the Manchester 8th District Volunteer FD, Town of Vernon Volunteer FD, Ambulance Service of Manchester, LIFESTAR Medical Helicopter take approx. one (1) hour to extricate a male driver (only occupant) of this Yellow Taxi Cab that was struck from behind by a Tractor Trailer and pushed into and under the trailer of another tractor trailer. The MV Crash occurred on I-84 west bound in Manchester, CT between exits 64-63. The Male occupant was transported via LIFESTAR to a nearby hospital in Hartford with NON life threatening injuries.

Not to be the bearer of bad news but... There will be no parade at the 2008 New England Chief's Show, and the show will close at 1PM on Sunday.
Warehouse Point has canceled their carnival.
High costs (fuel among other things) have been cited as reasons for both events demise.
